  1. Is obesity really dangerous to my health?

Yes, obesity can lead to heart attack, stroke, type 2 diabetes, cancer, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, gout, sleep apnea, asthma, and other problems.

  1. How do I lose weight?

To lose weight, all you need to do is to educate yourself about how to do it.  Then diet, exercise, and keep your expectations realistic while keeping your plan as it should be in order to drop those extra pounds.

  1. How should I exercise?

It depends on the person.  You should definitely have some cardio, the type will depend on you, and many also like to lift some weights to tone up the body.  But it should be a good mixture.

  1. When am I obese?

Officially, obesity is measured both my actual weight and waist circumference.  So if you are going by weight, then you aren’t going to get a definitive answer.  However, it is generally 30 or greater on the BMI, and they take into account various other factors before defining it as that.

  1. How long should I exercise?

Generally speaking, longer and more is better.  They used to say 30 minutes was the best way to go in order to get the maximum benefits.  But now they are saying that at least 60 minutes is required to really make a dent for someone who happens to be obese
